Louisville vs. Virginia preview:
The Cardinals are fresh off of a blowout win over NC State last week as they topped the Wolfpack 54-13. The Cavaliers have lost back-to-back games with their last loss coming to North Carolina last week 35-14.
Louisville's Lamar Jackson threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns and also picked up 76 yards and another score on the ground against NC State. The Cardinals held NC State to just 250 total yards on the day.
Virginia's Kurt Benkert and Connor Brewer threw for a combined 132 yards against the Tar Heels. The Cavaliers never could get their offense going as they were held to just 253 yards against the Tar Heels.
Louisville topped Virginia last year by a score of 38-31.
Louisville vs. Virginia prediction:
It's hard to see Virginia slowing down Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals' offense. Louisville is averaging 617 yards per game, the second most in the country. Virginia's defense ranks 108th in the nation as it has allowed 456 yards per contest.
Simply put, the Cavaliers are going to be seeing a lot of Jackson both through the air and on the ground. Virginia may be able to hang around for a quarter, but this one will eventually get ugly for the Cavaliers.
