Luka Doncic is set to be one of the top picks in the 2018 NBA Draft tonight. It's looking like the European star will be going No. 3 overall to the Atlanta Hawks.
The young European star will be accompanied at the draft by his family. He flew into New York from Europe earlier this week.
It's not looking like Doncic will be accompanied by a significant other, though. He's reportedly broken up with his girlfriend.
Doncic had been dating Anamaria Goltes, but the young couple doesn't appear to be together anymore.
"Slovenian basketball prospect Luka Doncic's was dating Anamaria Goltes, and now we're hearing they have broken things off," reports Sports Gossip.
The couple had been together since 2016. She's a model with a sizable following on Instagram, however, it appears she's deleted all of her photos with Luka.
That's too bad.
Doncic's life is about to change in a big way. He's about to learn where he'll be playing his professional basketball.
His mother will be there supporting him, at least. She's been there every step of the way.
Doncic's mom spoke to Euro Hoops about her son's love for the game and when he started to really enjoy it.
"I think that Luka was born with it," she said. "Ever since he started walking, when he was one year old, he was playing with a ball in his hands. He was doing all types of sports. He liked soccer a lot but was too tall to play. As I said, I think that Luka was born to play basketball.”
The 2018 NBA Draft is set to begin at 7 p.m. E.T. It will be televised on ESPN.
