LeBron James has gone through a lot of head coaches over the course of his NBA career. The league's best player has had six full-time head coaches. Luke Walton is set to be his seventh on the Lakers.

The superstar's arrival in Los Angeles has some starting to question how long Walton will remain the head coach of the Lakers. James has changed head coaches before and it probably wouldn't be surprising if it happened again.

This had ESPN's Stephen A. Smith wondering if Phil Jackson would come back and coach the Lakers. This seems incredibly doubtful based on LeBron's history with Phil, but it is a sign of the speculation surrounding Walton's future.

LeBron and Walton have basically no history, too.

NBA insider Jordan Schultz is reporting that LeBron had zero contact with Luke during the entire recruiting process in free agency.

"A source close to LeBron tells me that Bron had zero contact w/ Lakers head coach Luke Walton throughout the Lakers’ entire recruitment process. “LeBron never met Luke at all,” source says — and they still have not met. Walton will be James’ seventh full-time NBA head coach," he reports.

This doesn't necessarily mean anything for Luke's future, but it does mean that LeBron has no personal ties to him. We'll see if that ends up making it easier for the Lakers to make a change if LeBron wants one.
