Maine Star Grad Transfer Aaron Calixte Announces Commitment To Oklahoma

Aaron Calixte plays in a game at Maine.

One of the top graduate transfers in college basketball is off the board. He's announced his commitment.

Aaron Calixte, a star guard out of Maine, announced on Twitter this afternoon that he's committed to Oklahoma. He will be immediately eligible.

The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 16.9 points a game last season. He also averaged 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He shot 38.6 percent from the 3-point line.

Calixte, a Massachusetts native, announced his decision on Twitter.

"First off I would like to thank god for putting me in the position I am in today. Without him none of it would be possible. With that being said, I am excited to announce my commitment to Coach Lon Krugar & his staff at the University of Oklahoma!" he wrote.

His full announcement can be seen below:

Calixte had interest from several big-time programs. He'll be a major contributor for Oklahoma next season.

The Sooners went 18-14 last season. OU lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. There's a clear void at guard with Trae Young leaving for the NBA. Calixte should help fill that.
