Marshawn Lynch was not standing while the national anthem played before the Raiders’ preseason game late Saturday night.
The star running back was sitting on the bench, wearing a hat, while the Star Spangled Banner played before his team’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Lynch, 31, reportedly told Oakland head coach Jack Del Rio that this is something he has been doing for 11 years.
“He said, ‘This is something I have done for 11 years. It’s not a form of anything other than me being myself,’” Del Rio told reporters.
Pro Football Talk, though, found video of Lynch standing for a national anthem before a game in 2011.
It’s unclear what Lynch’s intentions are here. Perhaps he’ll address the media in the future.
