Marvin Bagley III might be the No. 2 overall pick in tonight's NBA Draft. The former Duke Blue Devils standout is believed to be in serious contention to go to Sacramento. We'll find out in a couple of hours.
The former No. 1 overall recruit was arguably the best player in college basketball last year. Some feel he's the most NBA-ready prospect in this year's class.
The Kings are reportedly very high on him. It seems like it'll either be him or Luka Doncic at No. 2 overall tonight.
Bagley will have a big group with him in Brooklyn. The former Duke star had a pre-NBA Draft party in Manhattan earlier this week. Tonight, the family will descend upon the Barclays Center.
The former Duke standout will likely be joined by his girlfriend, Rissah Lozano.
Bagley and Lozano have been together for a while. They've posted a lot of photos with each other on Instagram.
Rissah was with Marvin and his family at the pre-NBA Draft party in New York City earlier this week. She was wearing his Duke jersey.
Marvin and Rissah have been together for about two years. She's an athlete, too. Rissah is a volleyball player at Master's University.
Bagley has had a big week already. He signed a shoe contract with upstart basketball brand Puma. The deal is reportedly the biggest for a rookie since Kevin Durant.
"I think about the future, how things start, you can build your way up. Just like Nike, when Nike started and Jordan came and signed with Nike. Not to compare myself to Jordan at all, but with how he was able to come up, start his movement, play on the court, produce, and how that whole thing grew. That's what I saw. If I come in and produce, people start to like it a little more, see it a little more, it will grow and be a big brand on the basketball side. When they came to me with this opportunity, I couldn't pass on it," Bagley told CBS of his decision to sign with Puma.
Life certainly seems to be going well for the former Duke star. It's only going to get better from here, too.
Bagley and Nissah and the rest of his family will learn his NBA future in a couple of hours. The 2018 NBA Draft is set to begin at 7 p.m. E.T. It will be televised on ESPN.
