The identity of the man alleged to have stolen Tom Brady's jersey after the Super Bowl has been revealed.
Earlier today, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported that authorities had recovered Brady's missing jersey on foreign soil. The uniform top was stolen in the aftermath of New England's comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51.
Now, the alleged culprit has been identified. His name is Mauricio Ortega, and he's a former editor for the newspaper Diario La Prensa.
According to Proceso's Beatriz Pereyra, Ortega has been dismissed.
TMZ has recorded footage, originally aired during Glazer's appearance on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on FS1. It shows what appears to be a man exiting the Patriots' locker room with something under his arm.
