Imagine having a wardrobe malfunction at work. Now imagine working in a field where you're exposed to millions of people.
That horrifying event happened to a Winter Olympics ice dancer last night. Gabriella Papadakis, a skater from France, suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
Papadakis' shirt came undone early in her routine. Her chest was exposed. NBC's cameras didn't realize it in the moment, so they showed it. Yikes.
"It was pretty distracting," Papadakis told reporters. "My worst nightmare at the Olympics. I told myself 'you have to keep going.'
"That's what we did, and we have to be proud of ourselves, delivering a great performance with that happening."
Papadakis, 22, is a two-time world champion, a four-time European champion and a three-time French national champion. She's one of the most-accomplished ice dancers in the sport.
She currently resides in Montreal, Canada, but maintains her French citizenship. She began skating with her partner, Guillaume Cizeron, at the age of 9 or 10.
The skating couple's score was docked as a result of the unfortunate malfunction, but thankfully, their Winter Olympics aren't over yet. They're currently in second going into the Tuesday’s long dance.
They'll have everyone rooting for them moving forward.
