Meet The Daughter Of The NBA Legend Who Will Play In The NCAA Tournament

John Stockton with his daughter, Laura.

The daughter of an NBA legend went viral during the NCAA Tournament's national title game last year. Turner Sports' cameras showed John Stockton and his daughter, Laura, during Gonzaga's loss to North Carolina. Stockton's son was playing for the Bulldogs.

Laura's social media following blew up. Her Instagram account received 3,000-plus follows.

Laura is actually a basketball player herself. And she's damn good. The Bulldogs' point guard helped lead her team to an NCAA Tournament berth. Gonzaga won the West Coast Conference tournament last week. Like her dad, Laura is a floor-directing PG. “She has great vision, great timing,” Gonzaga coach Lisa Fortier told USA TODAY Sports. “Those are the basketball things. But to me the biggest similarity is the competitiveness and how darn feisty, stubborn and hard-headed — in a good way — she is. If I’m picking players to go to battle with, she will fight to the end. John had that.”

Laura is one of six Stockton children, ranging from ages 16-30. Her older brother, David, played point guard for Gonzaga last season.

The NCAA Tournament selection show for the women will air on Monday night. It'll be televised on ESPN.
