This was not a good weekend for Tennessee football. Even the reunion of the 1998 national championship led to an unfortunate headline.
Former Vols linebacker Raynoch Thompson, who was on hand to be honored during last night’s game, was arrested for public intoxication. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Police logs, Thompson’s bond was set at $200.
His court date is set for Sept. 26.
Thompson and his former teammates watched their alma mater lose to Florida 47-21 on Saturday night. The Vols turned the ball over six times.
It is Florida’s 13th win in the last 14 games against the Vols.
