Michael Porter Jr., the nation’s second-ranked player for the class of 2017, has made his collegiate decision. Porter, a native of Seattle, Washington, will be playing basketball for the Washington Huskies next year. Porter announced his decision on Twitter. It’s huge news for Lorenzo Romar and the Huskies.
Porter is a 6-foot-10, 210-pound stud who plays small forward. He’s ranked as the second-best recruit in the country by 247 Sports, Rivals and ESPN.

Best part of Porter announcing via twitter is we gave him a chance to make announcement on ESPN at Peach Jam. He politely declined. Low-key.

Obviously not a surprise since his father is an assistant there, but getting Michael Porter Jr. is huge for Washington. Elite prospect.
