The NBA has announced punishment for Tristan Thompson for his ejection and altercation with Draymond Green during Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Thankfully for Cleveland, the Cavaliers' center has avoided suspension.

The league announced this evening a fine - but no suspension - for Cleveland's big man ahead of Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Thompson has been fined $25,000.

"Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson has been fined $25,000 for role in altercation near end of Game 1 of the NBA Finals," the NBA announced tonight.

Thompson was ejected near the end of overtime during Game 1's loss to the Warriors for an apparent elbow throw at Shaun Livingston. He then had an altercation with Draymond Green, appearing to push the basketball into his face. Here's video of the altercation:

Cleveland forward Kevin Love made his way onto the court while all of this was happening, but went to the bench when it escalated. He reportedly will not be suspended.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is set for Sunday night at 8 p.m. E.T. It'll be televised on ABC.
