The NBA released its 5-on-5 rosters this morning for the combine. Here's what the four team look like, per ESPN's Chad Ford:
Team 1 is led by the duo of Kansas standout Frank Mason III and Maryland's Melo Trimble. And with Jordan Bell in the front court, that might be the team to beat. Team 2 doesn't look bad either, led by Oregon phenom Dillon Brooks and South Carolina's Sindarius Thornwell. Team 3 features UNC's Kennedy Meeks and Kentucky's Isaiah Briscoe, and team 4 includes UNCs Isaiah Hicks and Duke's Frank Jackson.
Quite a few top prospects are noticeably absent from the 5-on-5 rosters. Only one Kentucky player—Isaiah Briscoe—will be participating, in an effort to raise his draft stock. Many of the top guys, with nothing left to prove, will only interview with teams, rather than participate in drills and scrimmages.
Prospects have until May 24 to withdraw from the draft and return to school.
The televised portion of the combine is set to take place today and tomorrow, and you can catch the coverage on ESPN2 from 3-7 p.m. E.T. The coverage will include various scrimmages, athletic testing and drills—including the 5-on-5 scrimmages.
