Nebraska just recorded a punt of -2 yards, seriously.
Nebraska is currently taking on Minnesota and with 4:54 remaining in the second quarter the Cornhuskers were stopped on third down. Caleb Lightbourn trotted onto the field to boot the ball away and netted a -2 yard punt.
"That went straight up the elevator shaft." Yep, the announcer hit the nail on the head in his analysis.
The line of scrimmage for the punt was the Nebraska 44-yard-line and at the end of the play the Gophers took over at the Nebraska 42.
The punt was bad, there is absolutely no debating that, but the bounce was equally as bad. You can see in the video Lightbourn bend over and grab is head in disappointment after one of the worst punts you will ever see.
Nebraska trails Minnesota 17-10 at the half on the Big Ten Network.
