New AP Poll: Florida State Is Your New No. 1

But which team is No. 2?

Well folks, we officially have a new No. 1 college football team in the country. Florida State, after knocking off Florida at the Swamp, replaces Alabama, which fell in monumental fashion to Auburn on the road. The Tide fell to No. 4, behind the only two undefeated BCS AQ programs and the aforementioned Tigers.

The battle for No. 2, though, is just beginning. One-loss SEC programs Auburn and Missouri will meet in next week's SEC Championship Game, which could be a defacto national semifinal if Michigan State can find a way to beat Ohio State for the Big Ten title. That's all assuming that Duke doesn't pull off the biggest shocker yet and knock off FSU.

For now, the Buckeyes sit at No. 2, with Auburn, Alabama and Missouri sitting right behind. As always, things can change based on performance next week.
