Urban Meyer remains under investigation as Ohio State’s head football coach, as the university placed him on paid administrative leave about a week and a half ago. Outside of some Tom Herman/Texas drama on Saturday, there hasn’t been a ton of new information with regards to the investigation.
Ohio State announced a week ago that the investigation into Meyer and the Buckeyes’ program regarding the handling of domestic violence accusations against now-fired assistant coach Zach Smith would take two weeks.
It’s possible we learn something definitive this week.

Specific Meyer odds, though, do not expect him to be fired. According to the sportsbooks, it’s much more likely than not that Meyer will retain his job as Ohio State’s head football coach.
The Buckeyes, meanwhile, are a couple of weeks away from beginning their season. They open the year on Sept. 1 against Oregon State.
Ryan Day is the interim coach in Meyer’s absence.
