Todd Gurley has been dealing with an injury to his knee in recent weeks, but the Los Angeles Rams' star running back might be able to give it a go against the Arizona Cardinals this afternoon.
Gurley, a Pro Bowl running back, missed some of the Rams' loss to the Eagles last Sunday night, but he could be back on the field today.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter had an update on Gurley's status this morning.
The Rams would reportedly prefer to rest Gurley against the Cardinals, but he'll go through a pre-game workout before any decisions are made.
"Rams RB Todd Gurley, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Cardinals due to knee inflammation, wants to play but Rams want to be smart about it, per source. They plan to test Gurley pre-game to make final determination. But Rams would like to get him rest if any concerns," he tweeted.
The Rams should be able to beat the Cardinals without Gurley, but he'd be a major loss for fantasy football owners across the country.
It's championship weekend for most fantasy leagues and Gurley has been one of the top players in the league this season.
Stay tuned for an official update on Gurley and his playing status.
The Rams and the Cardinals are set to kick off at 4:05 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
