Despite winning their season opener against Houston, the Patriots received awful news today revolving around their offense.

With Sony Michel currently battling an injury to his knee, New England must rely on Rex Burkhead, James White, and Jeremy Hill. Unfortunately, the latter won't be seeing anymore action for the remainder of the season.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Hill suffered a torn ACL in yesterday's win over the Texans.

Hill made strides in his first game for the Pats, totaling 31 yards on just five touches. After making the move from Cincinnati to Foxborough, the hard-running tailback was expected to be used in short yardage situations.

Now, Burkhead and White will have to shoulder the load for New England. Unfortunately for the Patriots, their injury-plagued offense will face the Jaguars' defense in Week 2.

Hopefully, Hill makes a speedy recovery and returns to the gridiron for the start of next season.
