We have a new injury update on Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw. It's good news.
The 22-year-old guard out of UNLV suffered a scary injury on Saturday night during a win over the Sacramento Kings. McCaw was undercut on a drive to the basket. He landed hard on his back and was in severe pain.
McCaw had to be taken off the floor on a stretcher. He was later taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
The medical tests have reportedly come back clean. He's expected to be released from the hospital later today.
ESPN's Chris Haynes reported the news.
"ESPN Sources: Golden State guard Patrick McCaw cleared all tests, including MRI, and expectation is he’ll be released from hospital today. No official diagnosis as of now and return timetable to be determined."
That's great news. Here's to McCaw making a full recovery and getting back on the court in no time.
Stay tuned for further updates.
