The 2018 Ryder Cup kicked off from Paris this morning as the United States looks to win on foreign soil and hold the Ryder Cup yet again. The non-golf related festivities, though, started on Wednesday as the world's best golfers came together for a photo opportunity.
Photos of the U.S. players with their significant others went viral after Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson were seen together. This comes in the wake of reports that the two were on rocky ground in their relationship.
The City of Love, however, appears to be bringing the two back together. In fact, DJ was spotted taking photos of his fiance Paulina earlier this week during the opening festivities.
Golf Channel came up with an appropriate tagline: "Gotta do what you gotta do."
The first round of the Ryder Cup belonged to the Americans - who got out to a hot start and held a 3-1 lead. It was not to be in the afternoon, though, as the Europeans took a commanding 5-3 advantage after sweeping the afternoon's competition.
Can the U.S. fight back over the final two days of the Ryder Cup? Stay tuned.
