A ridiculous story from the New York Post.
The New York Post published Tuesday a story entitled, "Jameis Winston football friend accused of horrifying sex assault."
The story is about South Florida quarterback LaDarrius Divonta Jackson, who was arrested on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment.
The story mentions Winston in the opening graph and then again later on, talking about his friendship with Jackson and his checkered past at Florida State, which includes sexual assault allegations.
Winston does not need to be mentioned at all, though, and he certainly shouldn't be mentioned early on in the story.
He definitely doesn't need to be mentioned in the tweet.
Regardless of what Winston has done in his past, mentioning him in a story like this is absurd and irresponsible.
Unsurprisingly, the paper is getting crushed on social media for what it's done.
