The NFL Draft kicks off in just under a week, and unsurprisingly, everyone wants to know where the country’s top quarterback prospects will land. One ESPN NFL reporter actually thinks we’re looking at five different signal-callers hearing their names called in the first 20 picks.
Most analysts believe that four quarterbacks – Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen – will be gone on Thursday night. But Jordan Raanan of ESPN said that he expects that there will be a fifth quarterback in that mix. He thinks former Louisville star Lamar Jackson will be taken within the top 20 picks.
Raanan says he’s talked to “more than a few sources” who like Jackson to go early.
Some draft buzz: Have talked to more than a few sources that really like Lamar Jackson. Expecting five QBs to go in Top 20. #NFLDraft

It will be interesting to see where each of the former college stars lands. Darnold is being rumored to be the No. 1 pick to Cleveland – while Mayfield to the Jets at No. 3 is getting buzz as well. It’s unclear where Jackson could land.
Joel Klatt actually said on Colin Cowherd’s show Thursday that he’d take Jackson before Allen.

Jackson won the Heisman Trophy in the 2016 season and followed it up with another freakish season in 2017. In his junior year, he threw for 3,660 yards and rushed for another 1,601.
