The Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills have had their share of embarrassing moments this season, but this one may take the cake – and it took place before the first snap.
As the game was about to start, officials realized that the Lions and Bills were facing the wrong direction on the kickoff.
The two teams had to switch sides, but not before subjecting fans to an embarrassing start to the game.
Buffalo received the ball first and continued the game incident-free.
The Lions and Bills were facing the wrong direction for kickoff, so they had to switch sides of the field. Good start.

Buffalo started the game without the services of starting RB LeSean McCoy or backup RB Chris Ivory, both of whom are dealing with injuries. Marcus Murphy and Keith Ford got the snaps on the opening drive in their place.
The Bills were eliminated from playoff contention in last week’s loss to the New York Jets, but the Lions remain in the playoff hunt.
The Lions have lost five of their last seven, but still have a shot at the wild card if they keep winning.
