NFL GM Discusses Possibility Of Signing Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant celebrates after a touchdown.

Despite making three appearances in the Pro Bowl, Dez Bryant still finds himself on the open market. Last month, the former Cowboys star had encouraging conversations with the Cleveland Browns.

However, Bryant remains unsigned with the regular season already here. While his production has steadily declined over the years, the former first-round pick continues to circulate through the minds of several general managers.

With Arizona bringing in Braxton Miller for a visit, Cardinals GM Steve Keim was asked about the possibility of signing Bryant. Well, he didn't hold back any thoughts in his response.

From azcardinals.com:

"I always try and remain aggressive when it comes to player acquisition, regardless of whether it is a vet or someone we can kick the tires on as a young player," Keim said. "But this isn't fantasy football. There is a business side to this as well. To be honest, we talk about all these players. ... but at the same time, there is a business side that can create obstacles."

Right now, the Cardinals have plenty of options in their receiving corps, which includes Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk.

Even though Keim didn't make it seem like Bryant will be heading to the desert in the near future, he did keep that option open.

Bryant had 838 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2017. While he's still waiting for his next opportunity, the NFL season has officially begun.
