Much has been made about the NFL's new roughing the passer rule. It's been trashed by several of the league's notable players, including Clay Matthews and J.J. Watt.
The NFL's Competition Committee met on Wednesday night to discuss the rule and its enforcement, deciding if any changes will be made.
The rule will not be changed moving forward, but the committee has attempted to "clarify" the techniques that "constitute" a foul.
"No changes to the point of emphasis on roughing the passer rules, but competition committee “clarified techniques that constitute a foul” to ensure consistency."
