NFL Legend Jim Kelly Gets Major News In Cancer Battle

Jim Kelly celebrates a touchdown throw during his Buffalo Bills career.

Jim Kelly brought the house down at the ESPYS last week. The Hall of Fame quarterback, who has been battling cancer in his jaw for several years, was the recipient of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award. He made an impassioned speech that touched the crowd in attendance and went viral.

Today, Kelly has received some wonderful news in his cancer fight. According to a social media post from his wife Jill, Kelly is once again cancer-free.

This news comes after he had additional surgery last month. Kelly announced in March that his cancer returned.

Double thumbs up!
MRI and CTScans are clear.
Still working through major pain management, but PRAISE THE LORD, no evidence of cancer.
And can I just say, Jim’s brothers are amazing!
I’ve watched them stand with Jim in good times and bad. I’ve witnessed a love between siblings that is remarkable. What a blessing to be part of such an amazing family.
Thank you Pat, Ray, Ed, Danny and Kevin for being an example of what a loving, devoted family should look like. Add your humor and faith to the mix and we have everything we need.
Love you guys so much!

Obviously, Kelly's former team, the Buffalo Bills, was excited to share the news.

Kelly and his family obviously have to continue monitoring his health and making sure he's okay.

Today, they have every reason to celebrate though.
