Vontaze Burfict, one of the most-controversial players in the NFL, is once again making headlines for something that isn't good.

The 27-year-old linebacker is reportedly facing a multi-game suspension. It's for PEDs.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter first reported the news. It's since been confirmed by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"Bengals’ LB Vontaze Burfict is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Drug policy, pending appeal, league sources tell ESPN. No appeal date yet," reports Schefter.

Burfict has been mentioned in trade talks, but this is something that is likely holding up any potential move.

It could be a while before we get some clarity.

Burfict, who played collegiately at Arizona State, has been in the league since 2012. He made the Pro Bowl in 2013.

The linebacker has 517 total tackles, along with 8.5 sacks and 5 interceptions. He's been suspended multiple times.
