The 22-year-old tennis star ended his press conference at the Australian Open.

A star tennis player was asked a bizarre question about Colin Kaepernick at the Australian Open. So, the athlete ended the interview.

A reporter asked 22-year-old Australian star Nick Kyrgios about his relationship with the quarterback. He also wanted to know about his thoughts on the QB not being signed by an NFL team.

“You’re friends with the American football player Colin Kaepernick and supportive of him in the past,” the reporter asked. “What are your thoughts on his not being signed by an American football team this season?"

Kyrgios replied, "“I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to him in my life.”

The stumbling reporter then asked, "But what are your thoughts about that?" Kyrgios wasn't happy with the prodding.

"I mean, I don’t even … Where does that question even come from?” Kyrgios fired back. “We’re at the Australian Open, man.”

Kyrgios then ended the interview. You can watch the awkward exchange below.

I get that Colin Kaepernick is probably always going to be a story (or he will be for a while, anyway) but the NFL's regular season is over. We've got three postseason games left. Kaepernick really hasn't been relevant, football-wise, since the start of the season.

Kyrgios is an Australian tennis player competing in his country's biggest event. His response to the questioning was very fair.

The 22-year-old tennis star is set to play Viktor Troicki in the Round of 64 tomorrow.
