Ohio State DE Tyquan Lewis Returning For Senior Season

Tyquan Lewis is returning for his senior season.

This is great news for Ohio State fans. After J.T. Barrett announced his return for his senior season, the Buckeyes get a little help on the defensive end. Rather than entering the 2017 NFL Draft, Tyquan Lewis is returning for his senior season.

Lewis was the Big Ten's defensive lineman of the year in 2016 after recording 8 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. NFL scouts saw the defensive end as a mid-round talent.

Lewis could follow the route of Alabama's Jonathan Allen, who returned for another seas0n with the Tide to show he was a well-rounded player. If the Buckeyes defensive end can improve on his 2016 season statistics, he could very well find himself as an early draft selection.

Needless to say, a playoff run by the Buckeyes and a solid performance by Lewis couldn't hurt. Should Lewis perform well on college football's biggest stage, scouts won't be able to ignore him.
