Ohio State's running back depth took a hit today. A former four-star recruit is transferring out of the program.

Antonio Williams, a top recruit in the 2016 class, announced on Twitter this afternoon that he's transferring out of the program. He's headed to the ACC.

The 5-foot-11 running back is transferring to North Carolina. He's a New London, North Carolina native.

"New Chapter! Go Heels!" Williams wrote.

Here's his full announcement:

Williams was the No. 7 running back in the country coming out of high school in 2016. He was ranked the No. 169 overall recruit by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

The running back totaled 210 yards and 3 touchdowns last season. He had 34 carries.

Ohio State's backfield is quite loaded, with Mike Weber and J.K. Dobbins both back. Williams should be afforded more playing time in Chapel Hill.
