Paige Spiranac Called Out ESPN's Sarah Spain On Barstool Radio

Golfer Paige Spiranac speaks on camera.

Popular golfer Paige Spiranac, who has more than 1 million followers on Instagram, called out ESPN personality Sarah Spain for a past comment on Barstool Radio today.

Spiranac, who called into the SiriusXM show in the wake of Barstool's controversy with Sam Ponder, said she was bothered by something Spain said on Around The Horn.

"Plenty of women kind of attack me and I pulled up something that's actually pretty interesting. It was Sarah Spain and she said on the Golf Digest cover that I got, that I only got it because I take my clothes off on Instagram. So it's kind of funny that she's all for women and yet she turns around and says something about me. And I feel like I do a lot for golf that people don't talk about," she said.

Spain has addressed this, saying she misspoke and that she has since defended Spiranac.

Spiranac then tweeted this, which appears to show Spain's quote:

While Spiranac is not an employee of Barstool, she's done stuff with them in the past and has spoken highly about how they've treated her. Spain, a rising star at ESPN, has been critical of Barstool.

Barstool's new show with ESPN, Barstool Van Talk, premiers at 1 a.m. E.T. on ESPN2 tonight.
