Paul George has made his free agency decision. He is staying in Oklahoma City.
George, who was long thought to be headed to the Los Angeles Lakers, will instead sign with the Thunder, where he spent the 2017-18 season. George had opted out of his OKC deal to join the free agent market earlier this week.
George can't officially sign with the Thunder until July 6, but the free agency period begins after midnight tonight.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke news of the agreement.
All indications are that George's relationship with Paul George won out over a chance to play in Los Angeles for the team he grew up rooting for, potentially alongside LeBron James.
The Lakers may have missed out on George, but they are still considered the front-runners to land LeBron, and could add DeMarcus Cousins as well.
Once the clock strikes midnight, things are about to really heat up.
