The Los Angeles Lakers are making Paul George a major target in free agency this season. Now we may know how they are planning to sell their team as a potential destination for the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

Part of the Lakers' apparent free agency pitch to George has leaked. Sports Illustrated has reportedly obtained a script of a voiceover the team is planning for George, a native of Palmdale, Calif.

The voiceover is described as "less Morgan Freeman/Denzel Washington, and more Jamie Foxx," per SI's Robin Lundberg, who received the script.

The text of the voiceover can be seen below.

When you were just a kid

In your room
Dreaming from Palmdale

We were dreaming too.

While you dreamt, we built - built for your arrival

And while we dreamt, you built too
Becoming one of the world's greatest.

Life's most powerful dream are the one we realize ourselves.

The ones that turn us into legends.
That kid from Palmdale always knew it
Now the world will, too

Sure, this seems over the top. But keep in mind, part of the Clippers' pitch to Blake Griffin last year was this insane t-shirt with him alongside Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and Gandhi.

Also, the Clippers did all that and then eventually traded Griffin during the season.

NBA free agency is a wild world unlike anything else in sports.
