Philadelphia Reporter Fired After Nasty Rant Amid Arrest Goes Viral

Philadelphia reporter Colleen Campbell speaks to a cop.

The reporter was caught on tape lashing out against a police officer during an arrest.

A Philadelphia TV reporter has been fired after a video surfaced of her lashing out at a police officer went viral.

Colleen Campbell, a now-former reporter for PHL17, was caught berating an officer outside Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia.

The reporter was reportedly kicked out of the comedy clubs after she wouldn't stop talking following repeated warnings to be quiet.

New York City comic Wil Sylvince captured the video of her lashing out and posted it to Facebook. It currently has 2 million views.

Here's what the comic posted along with the video:

About last night: this very obnoxious lady, who wasn't drunk (nor high I think) was disturbing the show with her "loud whispering". After 3 warnings and other customers were complaining she was asked to leave.

When she got kicked out she assaulted (kicking, punching, and eye poking) 3 of the employees in bar area right outside the showroom and then outside she mock spit in the mangers face when a cop came. She verbally abused this poor cop who was trying to keep the peace at first.

Campbell did a Q&A with Philly Mag that goes into detail about what she thinks might have caused her reaction. You can read it here.
