The Phillies, the leaders of the NL East division, are reportedly close to making a major trade ahead of this afternoon's trade deadline. An All-Star catcher is reportedly coming their way.

Philadelphia and Tampa Bay are reportedly "close" on a trade for All-Star catcher Wilson Ramos.

MLB insider Jon Heyman first reported the news.

"sources: wilson ramos' deal to the Phillies is close," he tweeted.

Ramos is currently injured, but he's expected to make a return to the field at some point in early August. He's been one of the best hitting catchers in baseball this season, making the All-Star Game earlier this summer. Yahoo! Sports' MLB insider Jeff Passan initially reported news of the trade possibility. Update: The trade has been completed.

This is a major coup for Philadelphia, which is attempting to stay in first place in the National League East Division.

More moves could be coming. Stay tuned.
