On Friday afternoon, Florida International and Toledo kicked off from the Bahamas in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl. The two programs are hoping to end their respective seasons with a win and head into the 2019 season on a high note.
As expected the crowd in the stands wasn't great. It's a little more difficult for fans to get to a bowl game in the Bahamas than it is to get to a bowl game in the continental United States.
That, along with several other factors, led to a relatively empty stadium. When we say relatively empty, we mean it.
Take a look at the stadium at kickoff.
The game is airing on ESPN and the broadcast seems to confirm the sparse crowd. Steve Levy and Desmond Howard are on the call and they're the only two making any sort of noise in this game.
Toledo holds a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter.
