Non-traditional basketball floors are all the rage in college sports right now. We've seen some pretty fancy new court designs this offseason, for schools such as Memphis, UCF, and George Washington, among others.
It appears that UTEP is joining the club, as the Miners are replacing the floor at the Don Haskins Center -- this rendering of the new design was tweeted out by women's associate head coach Ewa Lasksowska:
I really like the massive shadowed pickaxes -- they are definitely unique to the UTEP program and give the floor some spice.
