Novak Djokovic appears to be on his way to another Grand Slam championship. The 31-year-old tennis star is currently playing in the men's singles final at Wimbledon. He's leading, 2-0, heading into the third set.
The Serbian star hasn't had the best couple of months on the court, but he appears to be rebounding in a major way. The No. 21 tennis player in the world according to the rankings is back to looking like what might be the best player in the world.
Djokovic has been supported all week by his wife, Jelena Djokovic. The couple has been married since 2014.
ESPN has consistently been showing her in the crowd.
She posted the following message on Instagram after the semifinal win:
Jelena was not seen at Wimbledon last year, as she was preparing to give birth to the couple's second child. She's been back in a big way this year.
So, too, has Novak. He appears to be on his way to a 13th Grand Slam title. He last won Wimbledon in 2015.
Back to the couple: They were high school sweethearts, according to Mirror:
Novak, 31, and Jelena, 32, were high school sweethearts and started dating in 2005. They got engaged in September 2013, and shortly afterwards Novak said: "I’m very happy. I love. I am loved. That’s the nicest thing you can experience as a human in my eyes." The happy couple married in July 2014.
Good for them. They appear to be in line for a major celebration today.
You should be able to catch Djokovic and his wife celebrating a Wimbledon title in a couple of minutes on ESPN.
