The Sacramento Kings are hosting the Atlanta Hawks in a game being played at Golden 1 Center. There is almost no crowd at the contest, though.

Major protests are taking place outside the arena regarding the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man in South Sacramento.

The Kings had to close the doors to the arena because of the protests. They're unable to open them up to those still outside.

"Tonight's game began with a delay. Due to law enforcement being unable to ensure ticketed fans could safely enter the arena, the arena remains closed and we ask fans outside to travel home. We will issue further information soon regarding a refund," the Kings said.

Here's what the arena looks like:

The Hawks led the Kings, 28-25, after one quarter.
