Predicting The Polls After Week 5 Of The 2018 College Football Season

A screenshot of the AP Week 4 Poll.

Week five of the 2018 college football season has come and gone, and in the aftermath, we're going to have a major shakeup in the polls. Two big games - Ohio State vs. Penn State and Notre Dame vs. Stanford - had major College Football Playoff implications.

The week's best game might have been Clemson vs. Syracuse, which wound up being decided in the final minute. Despite losing freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence to injury early, the Tigers rallied in the fourth quarter to emerge with a 27-23 win.

Ohio State vs. Penn State lived up to the billing, as the Buckeyes staged an incredible fourth quarter comeback to emerge victorious. Notre Dame also took care of Stanford, keeping itself in the playoff hunt in the process.

Some other notable results - Michigan staged a huge comeback to upend Northwestern, Oklahoma crushed Baylor, Texas held off Kansas State and Auburn barely got by Southern Miss.
