Rashad McCants Blames Khloe Kardashian For His Career Ending

The former North Carolina star has been out of the league for a while.

Rashad McCants hasn't played in the NBA since 2009 and he says the Kardashians are to blame.

The former North Carolina star was a first-round pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2005 and he played with the franchise until 2009. He was then traded to the Kings in February of that year and remained in Sacramento until the end of the season. McCants signed with Houston that offseason, but was quickly released due to an apparent injury. The former Tar Heels' star hasn't been in the league since.

McCants is blaming his former girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian, for this.

From the Charlotte Observer:

McCants’ biggest regret was his highly-publicized relationship with reality TV star Khloe Kardashian late in his career, which he said gave people an opportunity to doubt his commitment to the NBA.

“Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70 million player,” McCants said. “Easily.”

McCants, 32, averaged 10.3 points and shot 35.7 percent from the 3-point line his last season in the NBA.

He's now set to begin his career in Ice Cube's "Big 3" league this summer.
