A high school football player has died.
On Tuesday morning, a high school football player from Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at practice.
According to News 12 the Bronx, the young man was identified as Dominick Bess.
He went into cardiac arrest after collapsing at practice and was taken to Montefiore Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say Dominick Bess collapsed around 8:45 a.m. during cardio drills and was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he later died.
A source at the school says the students were not wearing pads but were exercising outside in shorts and T-shirts.
Staff at the school attempted to resuscitate the student by using a defibrillator before paramedics arrived on scene.
In a statement, school officials wrote, "our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, as well as coaches, the team and our student-athletes."
Bess was an incoming freshman at Mount Saint Michael Academy, a private Catholic school in the Bronx.
