The Cleveland Browns have two picks in the top four selections in tonight’s NFL Draft first round. That might not be the case once the draft starts.
The Browns are picking first and fourth overall. The final pre-draft buzz has them taking Baker Mayfield with the top pick. Now, a new report indicates the No. 4 pick is for sale.
According to The Ringer’s Mike Lombardi, Cleveland is planning on trading the No. 4 pick but not until they are on the clock. Apparently, they don’t want to move down too far.
Hearing Browns will trade 4, but only when they are on the clock, not before the pick and they don't want to go down too far.

Assuming Mayfield goes No. 1, followed by Saquon Barkley at No. 2 to the Giants and Sam Darnold at No. 3 to the New York Jets, Cleveland could deal the fourth pick to a team that covets Josh Allen or Josh Rosen as its quarterback of the future.
The Broncos are at No. 5, and they are rumored to be eyeing a quarterback. If that’s the case, another QB-needy team (the Bills? the Dolphins?) could be looking to jump Denver in the draft order and take their guy.
Or, perhaps the Broncos decide they don’t want to risk being leapfrogged by someone else. Would they exchange their No. 5 pick plus an add-on selection with the Browns in return for No. 4?
Cleveland certainly appears to have options, and that’s a good thing when you own a major piece of draft capital like a top-five pick.
The 2018 NFL Draft gets underway at 8 p.m. ET tonight on ESPN, Fox and NFL Network.
