Report: Bruce Arians Won't Return To The Cardinals In 2018 (UPDATED)

The head coach reportedly won't return in 2018.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said this summer that he'd like to coach through the 2018 season.

Apparently, plans have changed.

According to a report by Craig Fouhy of ABC15 in Phoenix, the head coach has decided to not return to the franchise next season.

From the report:

Bruce Arians does not intend to return as the coach of the Arizona Cardinals next season, sources have told ABC15 sports director Craig Fouhy.

Fouhy has learned that Arians has told people close to him that he intends to make the 2017 season his last with the Cardinals.

Arians, 65, has gone 44-26 as the Cardinals' head coach, a position he's held since 2013.

Arizona is 3-4 this season and starting quarterback Carson Palmer is likely out eight-plus weeks with a broken arm.

Update: Arians has taken to Twitter to deny the report.
