Vince Young is reportedly set to take a big step in his ongoing football comeback.
According to TMZ, Young is "finalizing his contract" with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He is reportedly heading to Canada to sign the deal.
Now, sources familiar with the situation tell us Young and the CFL team are rounding 3rd in terms of getting a deal done and all that's left is for Vince to pick up a pen and sign on the dotted line.
Young announced his comeback attempt last month, retaining the renowned Leigh Steinberg as an agent. He last played in a regular season game in the NFL in 2011, with the Philadelphia Eagles.
In six total seasons with the Eagles and Tennessee Titans, Young appeared in 60 games, making 50 starts. He passed for 8,964 yards, 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.
