Rick Pitino Has Landed A New Head Coaching Job

Rick Pitino has made it clear that he wants to get back into coaching and it appears that the former college basketball coach is getting what he wants.

ESPN's Adrian Wojarnowski is reporting that the former Louisville head coach is finalizing a deal to become a head coach in Europe.

Pitino, 66, is reportedly going to become the head coach of EuroLeague power Panathinkaikos in Greece.

"Naismith Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino is finalizing a deal to become head coach of EuroLeague power Panathinkaikos of Greece, sources told ESPN," Wojnarowski reports.

Pitino, a two-time national champion at the college level, has been out of coaching since 2017. He was fired by Louisville prior to the start of the 2017-18 season following the college basketball corruption scandal.

The former Louisville head coach is one of the winningest head coaches in basketball history, totaling 647 wins at the college level and 192 at the NBA level.
