NFL Team Ends Practice After Brutal Collision, Injury

A Carolina Panthers defensive back appeared to suffer a major injury during practice today when he collided with a teammate.

Ross Cockrell, a 26-year-old cornerback, reportedly had a collision with wide receiver Torrey Smith during practice this morning.

The former Duke University star was down on the ground in pain, reportedly screaming out "my leg is broke."

Cockrell had to be carted off the field. The injury is believed to be serious.

The Panthers' practice reportedly ended after the play:

Panthers players were reportedly in agony when they witnessed the injury.
