Ryan Lochte won the 200M individual medley at the Olympics last night. Lochte had the race of his life, defeating Michael Phelps by more than a body length. It was Lochte's first gold medal in the event - Phelps had won it at the last three Olympics.

Phelps won the 200M IM, winning his fourth straight gold medal in the event and dominating the rest of the field in spectacular fashion. Lochte finished fifth.
A Canadian broadcaster called the race like Lochte had won, though.
Elliotte Friedman called the race as originally described in this post, confusing Phelps for Lochte.

It doesn't get much more embarrassing than that.
Friedman handled it like a pro, though, quickly taking to Twitter to apologize for his gaffe.
The Olympics continue today on NBC.
