This past December, ESPN radio host Ryen Russillo announced he was essentially leaving the network to move out to Los Angeles and try his hand at one of his passions - writing. Friday, he issued an interesting update on his career.
It looks like Russillo is going to be working on multiple projects at once moving forward. It also looks like he's not done with ESPN just yet.
Russillo's podcast has kept going since December, and apparently, it looks like he might be taking on a slightly expanded role as well. His podcast has been re-upped and he'll be doing a few television spots for the network moving forward.
He's also signed with The Ringer to do a football podcast as well as an NBA podcast with Bill Simmons.
Lastly, it looks like he's got his writing career going too. He says he's been hired to write a pilot for a television show. Pretty cool.
Russillo, during his time as a radio host at ESPN, became a fan favorite. He worked with Scott Van Pelt, Danny Kanell and Will Cain during his time behind the mic.
ESPN announced the Russillo news on its media website as well.
