On Thursday night, the Dallas Cowboys stymied the high-flying New Orleans Saints offense to the tune of just 10 points. Dallas dominated the Saints offensive line, keeping constant pressure on Saints quarterback Drew Brees – who had arguably his worst game of the season.
The Cowboys did just enough on the offensive side of the ball to escape with a 13-10 win. Although the play on the defensive side of the ball was stellar for both teams, the officiating was less than ideal.
Several missed calls led to scoring plays for both sides, and fans watching at home weren’t happy. That didn’t effect the ratings, however.
According to John Ourand, the Saints and Cowboys posted the highest overnight rating in Thursday Night Football history.

Dallas moved to 7-5 on the season after wrapping up its fourth-straight win. Meanwhile, New Orleans dropped out of the top spot in the NFC giving the Los Angeles Rams home field advantage through the playoffs.
